Found scuba diving in Venice, Florida by Captain Michael Nastasio of Black Gold Fossil Charters in Venice, Florida. GOLDEN BEACH: The colors on this tooth are called "Golden Beach" which is an area of Venice that can produce colorations different from the more common black. Fossils turn black in saltwater over time but occasionally you can find them before the color change sets in. This shark would have been 25+ feet long because 1 inch of shark fossil is generally equal to 10 feet of shark.
